Moisture absorption: The water absorption of fiberglass is 1/20~1/10 of natural and synthetic fibers. water absorption is related to the glass composition, and the water absorption of non-alkali fiber is the smallest, and the water absorption of high alkali fiber is the largest.
Brittleness: fiberglass is more brittle than other fibers, not wear-resistant and easy to break. But when the fiber diameter is small to 3.8μm or less, the fiber and its products have good softness.
Good corrosion resistance: the chemical stability of fiberglass depends on its chemical composition, the nature of the medium, temperature and pressure, etc.. Fiberglass has good resistance to corrosive chemicals such as acids and alkalis, is virtually unaffected by organic solvents, and is stable to most inorganic compounds.
