The weight is reduced by about 30%, and the bogie is 40% lighter than the original metal material. It is a model for the large-scale application of carbon fiber composite materials on rail locomotives so far.

At present, CETROVO has completed the line test and operation demonstration, and successfully passed the acceptance.

In December 2019, the world’s first “Inner Mongolia Ximeng-Shandong” UHV supporting project with carbon fiber composite core conductors used in the whole line – Datang Xilinhot Power Plant’s 1000 kV transmission line was officially connected to the grid and put into operation in Inner Mongolia. The total length is 14.6km, and it is set up with a single circuit. The line adopts the carbon fiber composite core wire independently developed by my country.

The commissioning of the line not only saves energy and reduces operating costs, but also increases the transmission power by 1.32 million kW • h every year, alleviating the shortage of electricity in North China.

New energy vehicles use electricity as the driving power source, and problems such as circuit short circuit or high voltage breakdown need to be considered. Therefore, in addition to insulation voltage resistance and corrosion resistance, flame retardancy also needs to be considered in the selection of materials.
Therefore, carbon fiber reinforced composite materials, long glass fiber flame retardant reinforced polypropylene materials, and PP reinforced composite materials (PPLGF35) have become the primary choices for battery module housings.
