This chair is made of glass fiber reinforced polymer, and the surface is coated with a special silver coating, which has anti-scratch and anti-adhesion functions. In order to create the perfect sense of reality for the “melting chair”, Philipp Aduatz used modern 3D animation software to study the solidification of fluids and the melting of solids, making the work look like a solid melted and a liquid turned into a solid.
