One or more warp yarns are woven alternately over or under two or more weft yarns in a regular repeating pattern. This produces the visual effect of straight or broken vertical ‘ribs’ of the fabric. Twill fabrics are more wetted and draped than plain weaves, with only a slight decrease in stability. Due to the reduced crimp, the fabric also has a smooth surface and slightly higher mechanical properties.
E‐Glass Woven Rovings are bidirectional fabric made by interweaving direct rovings.
E‐Glass Woven Rovings are compatible with unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy and phenolic resins.
