The production process of GRC panels involves multiple critical steps, from raw material preparation to final product inspection. Each stage requires strict control of process parameters to ensure the produced panels exhibit excellent strength, stability, and durability. Below is a detailed workflow of GRC panel production:

1. Raw Material Preparation

The primary raw materials for exterior wall cement fiber panels include cement, fibers, fillers, and additives.

Cement: Serves as the main binder, typically ordinary Portland cement.

Fibers: Reinforcement materials such as asbestos fibers, glass fibers, and cellulose fibers.

Fillers: Improve density and reduce costs, commonly quartz sand or limestone powder.

Additives: Enhance performance, e.g., water reducers, waterproofing agents.

2. Material Mixing

During mixing, cement, fibers, and fillers are blended in specific proportions. The sequence of adding materials and mixing duration are carefully controlled to ensure homogeneity. The mixture must maintain adequate fluidity for subsequent molding.

3. Molding Process

Molding is a critical step in GRC panel production. Common methods include pressing, extrusion, and casting, each requiring precise control of pressure, temperature, and time. For this project, GRC panels are processed in a centralized facility, strictly prohibiting manual cutting to ensure precision.

4. Curing and Drying

GRC panels undergo natural drying or steam curing, with duration determined by cement type, temperature, and humidity. To optimize curing, automated constant-temperature and humidity curing kilns are used, preventing cracking or deformation and ensuring strength and stability. Drying time varies based on panel thickness and conditions, typically spanning several days.

5. Post-Processing and Inspection

Post-curing steps include cutting non-standard panels, edge grinding, and applying anti-stain coatings. Quality inspections verify dimensions, appearance, and performance to meet engineering standards.

Summary

The GRC panel production process encompasses raw material preparation, mixing, molding, curing, drying, and post-processing. By rigorously controlling parameters—such as material ratios, molding pressure, curing time, and environmental conditions—high-quality glass fiber reinforced cement panels are produced. These panels meet structural and decorative requirements for building exteriors, ensuring superior strength, stability, and durability.
